Common Questions

Do you need to be with me during the inspection?

No you don't.  However, I encourage you to be with me at least the last 30 minutes so we may have a walk through and go over some of the issues that I have found.  I like to go over everything with you in person so you fully understand my findings.  If this is not possible, I will make an effort with a phone call to go over the report with you.

What do you inspect?

I will follow the TREC standards of Practice when performing a home inspection.  The things I will be inspecting are the foundation, grading and drainage, roof, roof structures, interior and exterior, ceilings and floors, doors and windows, fireplaces and chimneys, stairways, porches and balconies, electrical systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing systems, and appliances.

When do I receive my report?

I will email your report to you within 24 hours of performing your inspection.

How do I pay you?

You may pay me by cash or check at the time of inspection.  Within 24 hours, I will email your inspection report as well as a receipt to you.

What are some of the things not included in this report?

Some of the optional items that are not required in the standard home inspection include wood destroying insects, radon, swimming pools, sprinkler systems, septic systems and out buildings/storage sheds.

How long does a typical home inspection take?

A typical Home inspection will take around 4 hours but certain factors such as size and type of house will weigh in on that time.  I try to be as thorough as possible and will not rush an inspection.
